Gonzalez is thought to be one of the greatest tight ends in the history of football. He holds the NFL record for receiving yards and receptions for a tight end. Furthermore, he ranks third overall in receptions. Gonzalez was drafted in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was part of their first 12-season playing for the team. In his final five seasons, he was a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013 Gonzalez has served as an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez was a career-high 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most for a tight end and the second-highest in league history In addition, he was awarded six All-Pros on the first team. Gonzalez is known for his stamina and rare Fumbles. He played for 272 regular season games, and only lost two fumbles over 1,327 plays. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
